The Minden Rotary Club Foundation was established in July of 2002 by a group of Minden Rotarians and with approval of the Minden Rotary Club Board. It was granted 501C3 status by the Internal Revenue Service in April 2008 as a public charity.

The original intent of the founders of the Minden Rotary Club Foundation was to establish a foundation for the support of the residents and programs specific to Douglas County, Nevada with a focus on educational support. Of late, the Foundation Board has expanded that focus to the support of children at risk in Douglas County in concert with the Minden Rotary Club.

Current projects that the foundation is involved in include scholarships to Douglas County residents who are working toward a degree at Western Nevada College and joint sponsorship of the recently established Backpack Buddies program to provide weekend food and supplies to needy Douglas County middle school students.

Any contributions to the Minden Rotary Club Foundation are tax deductible and will be expended toward the support of residents and programs exclusive to Douglas County, Nevada.
